‘Til We Sing Again

Our Summer splendor—so warm, so wide!

Dancing to birdsong and sweeping the sky.

Til Winter, gray-selfish, refusing reprieve,

requires our slumber, and kidnaps our leaves.

To drift. to dream. to imagine a Spring,

when all is forgiven and again—we sing!
