Constructing non-clogging and easy to clean strainer filters for the rainwater collection system has been a problem since the system was installed. This problem was finally solved with a simple three-layer combination fashioned from a plastic rice paper mould, some nylon screen fabric, and a 4.5” sink strainer. Total cost for each strainer is about $3.
